Anne concentrates her practice on casualty and tort litigation, environmental law, and governmental law.
Prior to joining Heyl Royster, Anne was an attorney in the General Counsel’s office of the Illinois Department of Natural Resource in Springfield (2014-17). Her experience at the IDNR encompassed transactional work including real estate matters, contracts and grants, as well as administrative proceedings. Anne’s experience also encompassed drafting administrative rules and included cases challenging the IDNR’s administrative authority. Anne also served as a Freedom of Information (FOIA) officer for the IDNR.Anne graduated from the University of Illinois with Distinction in International Studies, and she received her J.D. in 2013 from Southern Illinois University, cum laude. During law school she interned at the General Counsel’s office of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a federal agency in Washington D.C., and was a Taylor Mattis Fellow, CALI Award winner, on the Dean’s List, and a member of the Order of Barristers. After graduating from law school, Anne served as a research attorney for the Fourth District Appellate Court.
