Brian Connolly (Of Counsel)

PRINT

Brian concentrates his practice on the defense of product liability and premises liability actions, with particular focus on injury claims arising from environmental and occupational exposures to toxic substances such as asbestos, and also defends corporate clients in ongoing business and commercial litigation.  Brian serves a diverse set of clients, ranging from individuals and small, closely-held businesses to large multi-national corporations.  He has extensive experience representing companies engaged in wide array of industry sectors, including construction, energy, automotive, insurance, transportation, aerospace, consumer credit reporting, and agrichemical, among others.

Brian is involved in all aspects of the defense of his cases, including pre-trial motion practice, all stages of fact and expert discovery, and preparation for trial in state and federal courts in Missouri and Illinois. He has been professionally recognized multiple times on the Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers: Rising Stars list. The Super Lawyers Rising Stars selection process is based on peer recognition and professional achievement with only 2.5 percent of Missouri and Kansas lawyers under the age of 40 or in practice less than 10 years earning this designation.

A native of Saint Louis, Brian joined Heyl Roster’s Edwardsville office in 2017. He began his legal career at a small defense firm in Saint Louis, primarily defending agrichemical class actions and other toxic tort matters, and then spent the following five years (2012 – 2017) with a mid-sized Saint Louis firm, where he again concentrated his practice on the defense of toxic tort matters, commercial litigation, and general insurance defense litigation. He obtained a B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science from the University of Dayton, and then his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law.
