Joe concentrates his practice in civil litigation with an emphasis on business and commercial litigation. He also defends healthcare providers and state employees in civil rights cases.

Before joining Heyl Royster, Joe worked for a medium-sized law firm in Edwardsville, IL, where he provided transactional and litigation-based legal services to clients regarding business and commercial, real estate, estate planning, and probate administration issues.

Joe attended Bradley University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in History in 2010. Joe continued his education at Southern Illinois University School of Law and graduated, cum laude, in 2014.  While in law school, Joe served as an articles editor on the school’s law journal and received several awards and honors, including several CALI Excellence for the Future awards for his classroom performance, the Academic Excellence Award, and Phi Kappa Phi honors.
