Elward Presents at Appellate Lawyers Association Seminars
Brad Elward of the firm's Peoria office, who is the current Vice President of the Appellate Lawyers Association, recently participated in two ALA events. He spoke on appeal bonds and sureties at a seminar in Chicago that featured a panel of two attorneys, a circuit court judge, an appellate court judge, and a bond manager. Brad also moderated a Southern Illinois University School of Law/Appellate Lawyers Association "Practical Skills for Appellate Advocacy Seminar" in Carbondale, Illinois, where he spoke on effective brief writing skills. Other speakers at the seminar included attorney Michael Dahlen, Professor Keith Beyler, Illinois Supreme Court Justice Lloyd A. Karmeier, and member of the Appellate Court, Fifth District.
