Heise and Schag Address County Engineers
Doug Heise and Mike Schag of the firm's Edwardsville office spoke before an audience of county engineers at the Illinois Association of County Engineers 100th Annual Spring Meeting that was held April 30 – May 2 at the Collinsville-St. Louis DoubleTree hotel. Doug and Mike spoke on risk assessment, and, in particular, Doug explained the intricacies of the Illinois Tort Immunity Act and Mike spoke on legal issues related to fracking that may affect county engineers.
The Illinois Association of County Engineers is the collective forum of the 102 appointed county officials in direct charge of county highway transportation in Illinois. Since 1914, the Association has served to provide for the exchange of ideas and information aimed at improving the county highway engineering profession and county highway engineering services to the public.
