Recent Webinar: The Abolition of the Public Duty Rule for Local Governments
With its January decision in Coleman v. East Joliet Fire Protection District, the Illinois Supreme Court abolished what was known as the "Public Duty Rule." This decision will have a tremendous impact on local governments who provide public services to their community – most notably – police and fire departments.
