“Think Outside the Box” - Firm Hosts 31st Annual Claims Handling Seminars
For more than 30 years, Heyl Royster has provided the latest thinking in claims-handling strategies to insurance professionals through its annual Workers' Compensation and Casualty & Property Claims Handling seminars. In 2015 and 2016, the firm added additional programming for governmental entities. On May 19, the firm hosted nearly 200 claims professionals for a half-day of programming at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bloomington, IL. On June 16, the firm presented additional seminars at the Arista Hotel in Naperville to more than 90 attendees. Topics at both seminars included the use of social media, the effects of medical cannabis, the Affordable Care Act, spoliation of evidence, transitional employment, and medicare set-asides. Certified Work Capacity Evaluator, Rachel Viel, PT, MS, CWCE, CWcHP from Ortho Illinois addressed the Workers' Compensation audience on functional capacity evaluations.
