Firm Attorneys Author IDC Quarterly Columns

Five Heyl Royster attorneys are regular columnists for the IDC Quarterly, the official publication of the Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel. In the publication's latest edition, Health Law columnist and Chair of the firm's Healthcare Practice, Roger Clayton and attorneys Greg Rastatter and Matt Thompson authored "Appellate Court Clarifies Jury Trial Requirement in Involuntary Commitment Cases." Partner Patrick Cloud, columnist for the Insurance Law Update, authored "Unintended Consequences of Additional Insured Endorsements: Coverage for an Additional Insured Where the Claim Arose from the Named Insured's Professional Services." For the Appellate Practice Corner, partner Brad A. Elward, who is an Associate Editor of the IDC Quarterly, prepared an article entitled "An Interview with the Illinois Solicitor General." Civil Rights Update columnist, partner Dave Perkins, wrote "Failure to Discover Razorblade in Detainee's Wallet Insufficient to Establish a Fourteenth Amendment Claim in Rosario v. Brawn." Partner Brad Peterson, the columnist for the Workers' Compensation Report, authored "Calculating the Credit for Prior Amputation Payments."
