Eleven Attorneys Honored as "Emerging Lawyers"

07/31/2015

Eleven Heyl Royster attorneys are included on a new list of "Emerging Lawyers" – up-and-coming lawyers who best exhibit "exceptional character" and "outstanding aptitude," as determined by the top practitioners in the state. In creating the inaugural class of Emerging Lawyers, the Law Bulletin Publishing Company, through its Leading Lawyers division, asked its highly selective group of the state's top attorneys to recommend the people who most likely will lead the profession in the coming years.

"Lawyers across Illinois know Heyl Royster as a business law firm that covers the state from its offices in Peoria, Chicago, Edwardsville, Rockford, Springfield and Urbana," said Scott Anderson, director of Leading Lawyers and publisher of Leading Lawyers Magazine.

"It's no surprise, then, that so many Illinois lawyers continue to recognize the firm's attorneys as legal players — or that they recognize in our surveys the many contributions that Heyl Royster's emerging, young lawyers will make to the profession," Anderson continued.

Emerging Lawyers can be older than age 40 only if they have been licensed to practice for no more than 10 years. Those recognized as Emerging Lawyers account for less than two percent of the lawyers in Illinois. Heyl Royster has 60 Leading Lawyers and Emerging Lawyers.
