John began his legal career in 2002 in private practice in Columbus, Ohio, where he concentrated on personal injury and medical malpractice. He joined Heyl Royster in 2003 and became a Partner in 2014. Before becoming an attorney, John was a liability specialist with an Illinois-based insurance carrier for 20 years, handling personal injury claims of all types through litigation. John effectively uses the knowledge, experience, and skills he has gained in his professional claims and legal careers to represent and defend the clients he serves.

John received his J.D., cum laude, from Capital University Law School in Columbus, Ohio, and his B.S. in Chemistry from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois.
