Alisha Sheehan

Attorney in Springfield, IL

Alisha began her career with Heyl Royster in 2016, focusing on business transactions and becoming an accomplished medical malpractice defense attorney. Then, Alisha was provided with an opportunity to clerk for a well-respected federal judge with the U.S. District Court for the Central District of Illinois, focusing on civil and criminal cases. This unique experience expanded Alisha’s understanding of the law and her ability to manage complex cases. Alisha rejoined Heyl Royster in early 2022, utilizing her expertise and passion for defending hospitals, physicians, physician groups, and other healthcare practitioners, along with commercial businesses throughout Illinois.

Relationships are key in the practice of law. For more than six years, Alisha has worked in the Metro East, southern Illinois, and central Illinois regions, which gives Alisha a broad perspective of the federal and state court system and their respective communities. Alisha graduated from Southern Illinois University School of Law, receiving numerous honors and educational awards and earning a ranking at the top of her class.

In her spare time, Alisha loves to spend time with her family, eat at new restaurants, and travel.
