Katelyn has immersed herself in her law practice, diving into the details and practicing in numerous practice areas. Joining Heyl Royster as a Summer Associate in 2021, Katelyn became an Associate attorney after graduating from the University of Illinois School of Law in 2022.

An astute and eager learner, Katelyn gained valuable legal experience in law school, completing a series of internships for the Office of Senator Bill Brady and the General Counsel of the Governor's Office of the State of Illinois. In those roles, she honed her legal research skills, drafted policy memos, issued FOIA requests, and worked with constituents in problem-solving. In the classroom, Katelyn was the Teaching Assistant in International Business Transactions and served as a member of the University of Illinois Journal of Law, Technology, and Policy featuring cutting-edge articles on technological innovation, policy, and the field of intellectual property.
