Bill Kearney joined the firm's Rockford office as an associate attorney after graduating magna cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2023. He will focus his practice on medical malpractice, long-term care and nursing home defense, casualty/tort, and governmental litigation.
Before attending law school, Bill served as a combat soldier for nearly five years with the 3rd Battalion, 16th Field Artillery Regiment assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, deploying to Iraq from August 2008-2009. After leaving the military, Bill earned a Bachelor of Science in International Business and an Associate Degree in Leadership Studies in 2016 from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, graduating cum laude.
While in law school, he was a Summer Associate with Heyl Royster Peoria in 2022 and practiced as a licensed 711 with the Civil Justice Clinic in the Fall of 2022, a branch of the Zeke Giorgi Legal Clinic located in Rockford, Illinois.
In his free time, Bill enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, working out, and keeping up with his favorite professional sports teams.
