Aimée Dluski is a seasoned lawyer with over 20 years of experience in the legal profession. Joining Heyl Royster's Workers' Compensation Team, she works out of the Peoria office. Prior to her current role, Aimée worked as a solo practitioner and public defender in Tazewell County, where she primarily focused on at-risk children involved with DCFS and Juvenile Court, both in the criminal and civil arenas.
Aimée's work as a public defender involved representing clients charged with misdemeanor, traffic, and felony offenses. Her primary practice area involved minors charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses. She is also GAL certified and has served as the Guardian Ad Litem in the Abuse and Neglect court in Tazewell County for the past 20 years. Additionally, Aimée represented parents involved in Abuse and Neglect Proceedings from their initial appearances to the final disposition.
As a solo practitioner, Aimée contracted with the DCFS Guardian Administrator's Office to provide representation for Juvenile wards of the State. Within this role, she represented juveniles in pre-investigative interviews with law enforcement officials and performed administrative appeals on behalf of DCFS wards. She was also appointed as the Guardian Ad Litem to represent disabled adults as well as minors involved in Adoption proceedings.
Originally from Northern Wisconsin, Aimée enjoys visiting there to enjoy the lakes and north woods. When she is not spending time with her husband, Tom, and three girls, she enjoys attending concerts, watching movies, and cooking.
