Jess is an Associate with the firm’s St. Louis office, focusing her practice on construction and toxic torts. Equipped to handle a wide variety of civil litigation assignments, she is particularly excited about the fast-developing areas of electronic and biometric litigation.
A Kentucky native, Jess relocated to St. Louis in 2016, where she became interested in the legal field after learning about the Close the Workhouse campaign. She resolved that with her skill set, she could best advocate for and serve others as an attorney.
While in law school, Jess was active in the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and the Energy and Environmental Law Society. Additionally, she was a member of the school’s Interdisciplinary Environmental Clinic, where she worked on a highly publicized class action suit and used her Rule 13 license to represent plaintiffs fighting vacancy in underrepresented St. Louis neighborhoods. During her 1L summer, Jess worked for Legal Services of Eastern Missouri on appealing denials of service by Missouri Medicaid and CHIP. During her 2L summer, she worked at a private firm in her hometown, focusing primarily on personal injury and employment law cases.
Jess enjoys trail walking, watching reality television, and playing all kinds of Pokémon games in her spare time. She is also passionate about animal rights, combatting climate change, and criminal justice reform.
