Gary began his legal career as an Associate at Kavanagh, Scully, Sudow, White & Frederick, P.C. in 1978. In 1982, he became part-time Of Counsel with the firm, accepting the role of President & Trust Officer of a local bank. He returned full-time to Kavanagh Scully in 1994, becoming a Member of the firm in 1995. In August 2022, Kavanagh Scully merged with Heyl Royster bringing additional expertise and focus on business matters, local government, and transactional areas.
A Peoria native, Gary is an East Peoria Community High School graduate. He and his wife, Trina, reside in Peoria Heights. Gary is a member of the East Peoria Rotary Club and the Central Illinois Estate Planning Council.
