Jim began his legal career with Heyl Royster after graduating from law school in 1992. A Partner and Shareholder, Jim now chairs the firm's Real Estate Practice Group, working out of the Peoria office. Although he has practiced in almost all areas of civil litigation, he specializes his legal practice in residential real estate and title services, assisting buyers and sellers and providing closing and title insurance services on residential transactions.
Jim's practical approach to handling residential real estate transactions and responsiveness to client's needs has garnered the respect of the real estate professionals in the Peoria area and many repeat clients. As a result, the firm has been honored with the Peoria Area Association of Realtors Affiliate of the Year Award for Jim's efforts and contributions to the Association.
