Karl Bayer joined Heyl Royster's Chicago office in 2020 as an Of Counsel attorney and was elevated to Partner in 2023. Working solely in litigation since 1996, Karl has tried over 100 jury trials, and has brought countless matters to arbitration or mediation. As a formerly appointed Special Assistant to the State of Illinois Attorney General, he handles defense and commercial litigation files in Cook and surrounding collar counties.

Karl graduated with a Political Science and Latin degree from Knox College and received his J.D. from John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Karl lives in Elgin, Illinois, with his wife and two children.
